For me a picture really does speak a thousand words. For anyone who has visited my “Doodles” page you will have seen that I make use of images very often as a way of consolidating my thoughts and capturing key points of interest (especially at conferences and events).
It’s not just photos and scribbles which i think are important in visualising key thoughts and ideas, even developing a logo requires detailed consideration and development.
With this in mind here is the proposed “identity” for the 4E Framework which we have been developing. I have to thank our student placement @meaganmaygun for consolidating my ideas and getting me to this final design. I hope that this will become a recognisable symbol of the framework which I will initially be using internally but is of course available on open license.
This ident incorporates the 4 “E’s” and is intended to capture the full concept of the framework in one single image.
Further iterations of the image will also be developed including using the image without any text but also used alongside text as indicated below:
This logo has been in development for a couple of months – after many variations I wanted to ensure the shape was simplistic enough to be able to print anywhere, but also representative of the key features of the framework.
Anyone who has seen me present about the 4E Framework will know that I use “chatterboxes” to generate conversations around e-learning. This is the fundamental intention of the framework, to generate conversations about how to use technology in learning & teaching. These chatterboxes are the basis of the main ident and the four points represent the 4E’s.
And so there you have it………a little insight into the development of the 4E Framework ident. Over the next few months keep an eye out for the 4E Framework toolkits which you can use on open license and are currently being created.
